Wine

WELCOME TO BUYISRAELGOODS BLOG FOR WINE

All three denominations of American Judaism place great importance upon the hallowing of life through religious observances. And central to this heritage of celebration and worship is the drinking of wine.

For a wine to be considered kosher, it must be made under the strict supervision of a rabbi, and a Sabbath observant Jew must take responsibility for handling the wine at each stage of its production. If kosher wine is to be served by a waiter at a restaurant or banquet, it must be Mevushal. The special heat treatment required to make the wine Mevushal has been perfected so it does not diminish the quality of the wine. Most Israeli wines are both kosher and Mevushal.
